What this site does
We collect information about the Philippines by section and organise it from primary sources. There are currently 141 articles across 16 sections. The Japanese edition is the master; the English edition is translated from it.
Editorial principles
1. Every figure carries its source and its as-of date
Much of the material circulating about the Philippines gives no indication of when it was true, or repeats figures that have long since been superseded. Stating the source and the date is, by itself, a meaningful improvement.
2. What could not be verified is marked as unverified
We do not delete figures we could not confirm, nor rewrite them as assertions. We mark them with ⚠ and say what remains unconfirmed.
3. Where sources disagree, we give both
Conflicting figures usually mean the sources are counting different things, not that one is wrong. We present both, along with the difference in definition.
4. We do not translate other outlets' articles
We reconstruct primary information in our own words.

This site is operated by 合同会社HFP, a company that has business interests in waste, energy and economic-zone matters in the Philippines.
For the following two sections, therefore, the operator is not a neutral third party.
Articles in these two sections carry the same disclosure at the top of the page. In these fields we also present the arguments of both proponents and opponents, and attach a source to every figure. Even so, the operator's position may influence what is written and what is left out. When using this material for a decision that matters, please check it against sources with no stake in the outcome.
What we do not publish
This is a public information site. We do not publish non-public information about the operator's business (the scale, investment amount, profitability, contract status or financing of individual projects). Nor is this site a solicitation for investment or participation in any business.
Disclaimer
Rules change every year. Education and language policy, local public finance, mining and foreign-ownership restrictions all moved substantially between 2024 and 2026. For practical use, please confirm against primary sources and the current statutes. We cannot accept responsibility for decisions made on the basis of this site.
